Kids learn in school about prospectors panning for gold during the Gold Rush, but reading about things in books or listening to a teacher talk leaves the kids with an abstract notion of how things were. History comes alive much more vividly when kids get to participate. Experiencing historic activities then makes the children more interested in learning more about history and excited to read or listen to an instructor who is teaching about the subject.
Looking for a fun, inexpensive way to add a lot of color to a room for a party? Decorate it with Helium filled balloons! Balloons provide festive decoration for all sorts of events, plus kids love to play with them, and they are cheap enough to send home as party favors. Just be sure to tie a ribbon and a weight to the end of the balloons so they don’t get away outside. Kids get pretty upset when they lose their balloon.
Its nearly Easter and a lot of kids are starting to get excited about seeing the Easter Bunny, coloring eggs, and searching for their Easter baskets. If you are organizing an Easter party for your church, family, or friends, here are some pointers to help you get started.
The Easter Bunny makes a wonderful guest of honor for Easter parties. Kids love getting their picture taken with the big furry guy. Another fun option is to get a Petting Zoo with real live rabbits for the kids to pet.
